BOOK REVIEW:
A NOVEL, NEVER LET ME GO
BY Kazuo Ishiguro
It's my first posting for reviewing a book. I thought this would be a good exercise for me to sorting out my thoughts when writing passages, because I tend to write a long passage yet unnecessary.
For the very first book review, I have got a readily review I have just made. I also tried to make an illustration to point out the most important aspect of the book. You can choose either to just check the illustration out or read my version review below.
Actually, these days I'm very fond of reading books and have a pile of waiting to read book as well. When I was looking for a book, I tend to avoid books with a possible sad ending, the one that makes me emotionally engaged with the characters. But it turned out I chose and purchase this book. A novel entitled Never Let Me Go, by Kazuo Ishiguro who is a British novelist of Japanese origin and Nobel Laureate in Literature (2017).
Now, let's move to a brief review and thoughts of mine. I give 3 stars rating as I actually quite like the book except that the author at this time created the story at a slower pace.
I was getting excited only at some of the last chapters, in which they are the moments when the author reveals the truth. Getting emotional on how the characters, who are actually human cloning, are nicely treated for a specific purpose, I wanted to stop reading it. But I was so curious how the characters would react after they find out the truth. I decided to finish it and I'm glad did. Japanese authors have their own way to make us deeply involved with the story they create.
