Clues Game 

Conditions:

- Individual or group

- Quiet or active students

- No preparation

Procedures:

- If you have got groups of students, you can do the practice together. Each group will choose one representative who will draw or write down clues. They will have a race to finish target words as fast as they can.

- You can still do this practice even if you have got only one student. Each of you can think of a target word and try to give clues. Set the timer (e.g. 1 minute) to guess each word. 

Teaching notes:

- You don't need any preparation even if your student(s) told you that they cannot draw. You can let another student who has better drawing to be the drawer.

- If your student(s) convince you that they won't draw (maybe because they don't like it, or they aren't in the mood), you can give clues with words.

- For the worst case, your students' English skill is not quite good, so they can give clues with their native language (i.e. Indonesian) and you can help them to translate it into English.
